Three bids to chase, not two hundred notices to read
A broad saved search on the federal portal mails you everything. A narrow one hides the work you could have won. Both end the same way: nobody on your team reads the notices by Thursday.
Every new solicitation is scored against your NAICS codes, your capability statement, your past performance, your set-aside status, your geography and the contract size you can carry. What lands in your inbox is a ranked short list with the reason for each match written in plain English.
- A ranked list, usually three to ten items, not an undifferentiated feed
- One sentence per item saying why it fits your company
- The weak matches are scored and explained too, so a no-bid decision is defensible
The deadline you were going to miss
Response windows run 15 to 45 days, and the question deadline that decides whether you can shape the requirement closes far earlier than that. Missing either one costs you the bid before you write a word.
FederalContracts tracks both dates on every opportunity you save, and reminds the owner of the bid before each one closes. Amendments and extensions move the dates on your board the day they post.
- Question deadline and response deadline tracked separately
- Reminders before each date, to the person who owns the bid
- Amendments update the dates instead of hiding in an attachment

The history of who has been winning this work
Before you spend a week on a proposal, you want to know who holds the incumbent contract, what the agency has paid for this work before, and whether the recompete is realistically open.
Competitor award history sits next to each opportunity: prior awards for the same work, the awardees, the values and the dates. A bid or no-bid call takes minutes instead of an afternoon.
- Prior awards for the same NAICS code and agency, with values and dates
- The incumbent named, so you know who you are unseating
- Award patterns across an agency, so you can see where your capability actually sells

From company profile to a short list, in four steps
Build your company profile
You enter what you sell and what you can prove: NAICS codes, a capability line, past performance, your set-aside status, the states you work in and the contract size band you can carry. This takes about ten minutes once.
We read every new solicitation
Federal solicitations, plus state and local bid boards, are read the day they post. You do not keep a login for each portal, and you do not keep a tab open on any of them.
The matching engine scores each one against you
Every notice gets a score out of 100 from NAICS overlap, capability keyword fit against the notice text, set-aside eligibility, place of performance, value band fit and the feasibility of the remaining response window.
You get the short list, then you track it
The digest arrives each morning with the ranked matches and the reason for each. What you save moves onto a board with its question deadline, its response deadline and the award history of the work.

Get these matched to your company every morning

The federal portal publishes notices. We decide which ones are yours.
This is the first question every contractor asks, and it deserves a straight answer rather than a sales line. The official portal is genuinely free and genuinely good at what it does, which is publishing. What it does not do is decide anything for you.
| The official federal portal | FederalContracts | |
|---|---|---|
| Price | Free | From 129 USD a month |
| What it sends you | Every notice matching your keywords | A ranked short list scored against your company profile |
| Why this notice | Not answered | One plain sentence per match, with the score |
| State and local bids | Not covered | Federal, state and local in one feed |
| Deadline tracking | The dates are in the notice | Question and response deadlines on a board, with reminders |
| Competitor award history | In a separate federal database | Next to the opportunity, with awardees and values |
| Who does the filtering | Your capture lead, by hand, at night | The matching engine, before you open the email |
Keep using the portal. It is the source of record and we read it too. What you stop doing is the triage.
What this costs you today, in your own numbers
This section is written for whoever signs the invoice, so it uses your figures rather than ours.
Capture cost per bid
Count the hours your capture lead, your pricing person and your technical writer put into one response, and multiply by the loaded rate. That is what a badly chosen bid costs you, and a badly chosen bid is almost always a badly matched one.
Win rate on well matched bids against scattershot bids
Your own win rate on work that sits squarely inside your NAICS codes, your past performance and your set-aside status is the number to compare against your win rate on everything else you chased last year. The gap between those two numbers is the argument for this product.
The cost of one missed response window
One solicitation you were eligible for, qualified for and did not see in time. Put your usual contract value against that and compare it with an annual subscription. For most contractors the comparison is not close.
- Cost of one response
- Cost per win on well matched bids
- Cost per win on everything else
- What the gap costs you in a year
Read the last figure as the premium you pay for the wins you already get, because you buy them at the scattershot rate instead of the well matched one. An annual Capture subscription is 3,490 USD.
Nothing on this page claims a result we did not measure. The business case is yours to run, and the demo gives you the input for it in about a minute.

Bid Match is free to run on this site and is not a line in this table. It is a sample of the product, not a plan.
Full plan details sit on federal government bid sites.
Is this not free on the government portal
The portal is free and it is where federal notices are published. It publishes; it does not decide. A saved search there mails you raw notices by keyword, with no score, no reason, no state or local coverage and no award history in the same place. FederalContracts reads the same public record and tells you which few items are worth your capture time this week.
Where does the data come from
Public procurement records: federal solicitation and award data published by the United States government, plus state, county and municipal bid boards. We read the sources, normalize them and score them against your profile. The demo on this page runs on a dated snapshot of that federal data so you can see the scoring before you sign anything.
Do you cover state and local bids
Capture and Enterprise cover state, county and municipal bid boards alongside federal solicitations, which is where most contractors find the work they can actually staff. Bid Desk covers federal solicitations. Details sit on state and local government bids.
How fast do notices arrive
Bid Desk delivers matches by the next business day. Capture delivers them the same day, and Enterprise carries that as a contractual commitment. Amendments and deadline changes update your board on the day they post.
What happens after I sign up
You confirm your email with a six digit code, then build your company profile: NAICS codes, capability line, past performance, set-aside status, geography and contract size band. Your first match list follows from that profile, and you can adjust the weighting whenever the business changes.
Can my whole team use it
Yes. Bid Desk includes 3 seats, Capture includes 15 with a separate profile and digest per business line, and Enterprise is unlimited with SSO, roles per business line and an audit log.
How do you handle our data
Your profile, your saved searches and your bid board belong to you, are never sold, never pooled into a shared dataset and never used to advertise to anyone else. Access control, retention and deletion are set out on federal contractor data security.
Can we pay by invoice
Capture can be paid by card or by invoice. Enterprise is invoiced annually and works with purchase orders and a security review. Bid Desk is card only.
